Saline Valley, April 12-18 1998
The weather was great this year. The desert was green and in
bloom. Only twice out of 7 years have we caught the desert this
green. When the clouds came it was only long enough to cover
the surrounding moutains in snow, then it cleared up again. There
was enough wind for the wind-generator but not too much to
send everyone running for shelter.
We had 14 adults and 10 kids on this trip. Great Fajitas from
Lisa and Fibby, in fact the group dinners were all great. The
usual time in the hot tub star gazing. Rides to Buns of Steel
Pass, the Lippencott Mine road and the Zig Zag road. The hike
to the ridge for most and a run for Robert. The motorcycle rides
are on video, most of the rest you can view in the following
photos.
